![]() ![]() The combat is literally all about outmaneuvering your opponents and preparing support and trap magic before unleashing your next wave of offensive magic. ![]() It makes for some surprisingly fluid combat sequences. After spending quite a bit of time with it, I found that I was able to anticipate what the camera would do when I prepared an attack and then move accordingly. Here’s some photos I captured from the game :)īecause once you get used to how the camera behaves during combat it becomes very easy to control. So from what I’m writing, if you take anything out of it, the game is a combination of a simplified Elden Ring and Horizon. Again, as Horizon had with the explorer or guided mode. But other than that, the demo was great! I really hope they keep the objective markers and the damage in the full game, or maybe they make it an option to have on or off. So I had to watch a quick tutorial on how to do so. I felt in the demo I didn’t know how to do certain things like change magic or climb because I wasn’t taught. As well as I wish the tutorial showed me more than combat. ![]() ![]() My only complaints are that the graphics felt weird and I had to fiddle around a bit with them to find what looked best. There is a photo mode, which I am so thankful for because I love capturing images. I don’t like having to search for where I need to go, and I find it beneficial when there is markers with meters like Horizon had. I do appreciate there being markers for your objectives, and I hope that remains in the full game. It was open world with combat (and thankfully combat difficulty that you can control). I thought the combat was fun, and the demo felt like a simple version of Elden Ring to me. But it’s a demo, why would there be story? They’re keeping the story for the actual game, and instead are enticing you to purchase with the world and combat. I understand that maybe an open world with no story is frustrating, personally I am not a big open world person. I’ve seen a lot of hate towards the demo, and maybe I see why. ![]()
